The Design Pallet

The Design Pallet is a modern and organic home furnishing shop from Seattle. They make sustainable furniture, candle holders, business card holders, key and jewelry trays from local salvaged and reclaimed wood. I got a couple of the salvaged tea light holders and they are very nice quality. These items would make a great addition to any home decor.

Blue Q

I’ve been interested in wallets and coin purses lately and I discovered these great coin purses by Blue Q. They make their bags from 95% post-consumer material. Also, 1% of the sales support conservation work of the Nature Conservancy. They have so many cute and fun designs to choose from.

I purchased a couple of the coin purses and the quality is superb! Later, I looked around my home and realized I had a couple bags made by Blue Q that were gifts. Awesome! I love rediscovering items that are eco-logical and I forgot about them.

They have several other items available on their website. Check it out: http://www.blueq.com

Eco-Products: Rethink Disposables

I have seen Eco-Products compostable cups and containers at several restaurants. I generally bring my own reusable products, but most people don’t. That’s why I like it when businesses offer a more eco-friendly option.

Eco-Products have been around for 20 years. That is awesome! Nearly all of their products are made with renewable resources, reclaimed materials, or recycled content materials instead of oil. They make a cup “Made from 100% Compostable Corn,” that looks and feels like plastic. It’s just as strong and durable, and it can be composted after use. That is just one example of their products.

If you own a food service business and would like to reduce your carbon footprint, then please consider switching to Eco-Products. It would be great for you, your customers, and the planet!
